WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible
The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)

There is Only One God

There is only one True God, who revealed Himself to humanity in the person of Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1;14) He is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purposes. We believe the Bible teaches that God was revealed as Father in Creation, the Son in Redemption, and as the Holy Ghost in Regeneration.

THE CENTER OF PENTECOST - ACTS 2

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was the Word of God made flesh, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of a Virgin Mary. He was perfect in nature, teaching and obedience. He is fully God and fully man. He was always with God and is God. Through Him all things came into being and were created. He was before all things and in Him all things hold together by the word of His power. He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation and in Him dwells the fullness of the godhead bodily.(John 1:1;14; Colossians 1:15-19, 2:9)

The Salvation of Man

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God. Salvation is received through repentance and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.(Acts 2:38, Luke 24:47, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 3:5-7)

Baptism in Water in Jesus Name

Water baptism is intended for the individual who has received the saving benefits of Christ’s atoning work and has become His disciple. Therefore, in obedience to Christ’s command and as a testimony to God, the Church, oneself and the world, a believer must be immersed in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Water baptism is a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death. It signifies that his former way of life has been put to death and vividly depicts a person’s release from the mastery of sin.(Acts 2:38, 2:41, 8:12, 10:48, 22:16, Romans 6:3-8)

Baptism of the Holy Ghost

All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise gift of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian church. With it comes power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts of the Spirit and their uses in the work of the ministry. The baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign and evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance.(Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4, 1:8, Acts 2:1-4)

"Hear, O Israel:
The LORD our
God is one LORD"

Deuteronomy 6:4

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you
in the name of
Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Acts 2:38
